Down to the second. Without doing timezone math.

23:30 in Tokyo, 16:30 your couch, 09:30 west coast. AniCal does the math so you don't, and ticks a live countdown. You know when to crack open Crunchyroll instead of doom-refreshing the forum.

  • Live countdown to every episode
  • JP time → your local time, automatic
  • Live 'airing now' state when broadcast begins
  • Carousel of the next 7 days

Browse the season. Without scrolling TikTok to find the title.

Winter, spring, summer, fall — the full season, laid out like a card spread. Filter by score, popularity, or release date. Spot something that hits? Follow it, and it lands in your Today screen the moment it starts airing.

  • Every season back to 2020
  • Sort by score · popularity · date

Frequently asked questions

Is AniCal free?

Yes. AniCal is 100% free and ad-free. No subscription, no in-app purchases.

Do I need an account?

No. You can use the anime calendar, follow titles and get notifications without any account. Connect AniList or MyAnimeList later to sync your list.

Where does the data come from?

Anime schedules and details come from AniList, Jikan (MyAnimeList) and AnimeThemes. AniCal is not affiliated with any streaming platform.

What devices can I use it on?

AniCal is a PWA: it installs on iPhone, Android and desktop straight from the browser, and works offline.

How is AniCal different from sites like Nautiljon or animeschedule.net?

AniCal is mobile-first (an installable PWA) and goes beyond a plain calendar: favourite the shows you watch and filter on them, track your progress episode by episode like on MyAnimeList, get a notification on every release and a reminder for episodes you missed. Broadcast times are converted to your timezone.

Does AniCal show where to watch a show, subbed or dubbed?

AniCal lists the streaming platforms for each title. It doesn't yet distinguish subbed from dubbed, and streaming data is currently strongest for French and Japanese sources. Broader language coverage and a sub/dub filter are on the roadmap.

The app isn't smooth on my phone — what can I do?

Open Settings → Performance and set animations to "Reduced" (or "Auto"). AniCal then trims the visual effects for smoother scrolling on older devices.

My antivirus or browser flags the site as suspicious — is it dangerous?

No, it's a false positive. The anical.xyz domain is recent, and .xyz domains are often flagged by reputation heuristics until they age. AniCal shows no ads and comes back clean on VirusTotal. The only third-party tools are product analytics (PostHog, Vercel Analytics), used to improve the app.
